Hey gang! As many of you know, there have been discussions on the proper etiquette for arena runs. I would like to post some etiquette that I have discussed with various people in the SS2 world, and would like to hear your opinions on it. Feel free to add suggestions or argue suggestions as you would like.
*Clarification of a sub - Someone who may battle when one of the main group dies, or goes brb or afk for a period of time, and who withdraws when that person returns.*
Pre-Arena Etiquette
In-Arena Etiquette
I may add on these if I think of any more. Happy arena running!

Pre-Arena Etiquette
- If it is a guild run, say so.
- If it is invitation only, say so.
- If you would like a spot in a run, ask if there is a spot for you.
- If there is a leech, ask him to leave or switch servers.
- If a leech does not leave when asked, ask that he be removed from the friend lists of all people running.
- Make it clear who is inviting, and do not allow people to invite unless they are given the green light.
- If someone ports in uninvited when you have a full group, ask him to be a strict sub or to leave.
- If it is a mass run, make that clear to everyone in the run.
- If you are a summer hunter and want to use a sickle, make sure it is ok with everyone that you are using a sickle, and use knife whenever possible (such as in minion battles) to help speed the run along.
- If you are a clown, use an AoE weapon such as a grenade or blunderbuss to help speed the run along.
- If you are a guard, do not use a knife.
- If you have invited someone and they have said that they are coming, do not allow an uninvited person to take that spot before the invited person gets there.
- Do not enter an arena unless you know you are one of the main group, have clarified yourself as a sub, or it is a mass run.
In-Arena Etiquette
- Do not split battles unless there are already 6 people in the first battle of the room.
- If there are not 6 people in the first battle of each room, and there are people that can fill the battle, ask them to join that battle.
- If you skip battles in order to prolong an item, do not skip a potentially fatal battle (with jenus, fetches, etc.).
- Try to keep overall battle skipping to a minimum (one or two per item)
- Don't have two characters of the same person (main and alt) in a miniboss or boss battle if there is another active person in the arena.
- If you want an alt to item you, ask if you may have permission to do so, and d/c the alt if necessary in a timely manner.
- If there is more than one alt with less than 6 active mains, in order to avoid a game of chicken, work out an alternating system for the alts that works for all those involved.
I may add on these if I think of any more. Happy arena running!
